My personal connection to Edvard Munch began through the former Munch Museum in Tøyen. My partner’s family lives in the area, and for many years I regularly passed the museum building. Over the years I watched the new Munch museum take shape at the harbor while the old building entered a phase of temporary reuse. This transition sparked my interest in how cultural institutions reflect shifting ideas about art, public space, and representation and led to my project Det gamle nye, which examines both museum buildings.
